CAMELFORD in Bloom is taking place this month.

Entries are still being welcomed, up until July 19, with judging taking place on the week commencing July 29.

There will be one perpetual cup for commercial classes (places of business), for the best window boxes/hanging baskets or pots, to be viewed from the road.

There will be two perpetual cups for the residential class, for window boxes/hanging baskets or pots to be viewed from the road, and front gardens. Finally there is one perpetual cup for the allotment class, for worked allotment plot, to be viewed from outside the fence.

Mayor, Claire Hewlett, said: “Camelford in Bloom’s closing date is July 19 and judging will take place the week commencing July 29. There are several different categories including commercial, residential and allotment. This is a lovely competition, which anyone living in the parish of Camelford can enter — even if you’ve only got one hanging basket you can enter and be part of the fun.

“What better way to enjoy the summer than being out in your garden or allotment getting ready for the judges?”

Entries should be returned to Amanda Lash, deputy town clerk, Camelford Town Council, Town Hall, Market Place, Camelford, PL32 9PD. Winners will be announced at the Camelford Show on August 14.
