AS part of its charity garden trail, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful gardens at Kelly House in Lifton on Saturday, June 10, and Sunday, June 11.

The historic family home is set in the quiet rolling countryside of the Devon and Cornwall border.

Formerly a landscape garden featured in Country Life in 1899, the garden is now much smaller but still reflects elements of its past.

In late spring the rhododendron flowers and foxgloves line the path and lavender lines the terrace.

Admission is just £4 for adults, and children are free. In addition to the gardens a pop up art gallery will be on display and a plant sale will also be taking place within the grounds.

The open garden forms part of CHSW’s garden trail. The trail has been running for the past two years and each year more and more gardens come on board, opening their grounds to help raise funds for their local children’s charity.

Gardens of all sizes and types are getting involved, some of which aren’t usually open to the public as well as some very unique and special gardens in the South West.

Onsite parking is available. For more information, contact 01822 870363, or visit www.chsw.org.uk/garden which features an online guide.
