THE opportunity to sit down to a delicious three-course candlelit supper as December approaches heralds the start of the festive season.

In the warm and cosy surroundings of Chilsworthy Village Hall, with its seasonal decorations, this promises to be yet another great event in the fundraising efforts organised by the Tetcott Hunt Supporters Club.

The club’s secretary, Neville Course, said: “The candlelit supper is one of the numerous events we put on each year to help raise money in support of the hunt and to help keep alive one of the countryside’s oldest traditions.

“Every year people say how much they enjoy the supper and again we are hoping for a bumper turnout from hunt members and the public.

“It makes for a lovely social occasion as we start the run-up to Christmas and the licensed bar helps to make for a great evening.”

The event is being held on Saturday, November 26, starting at 7.30pm. Seating is limited and booking is essential by calling 01409 271208 or 07940858525 before Wednesday, November 23, — the earlier the better.

Tickets cost £12.50 and £8 for children under 14.
