Members of The Widger Spoke Easies cycling group braved the rain to complete endurance rides of 20, 65 and 100 miles recently, taking in the scenes of Boscastle and Bodmin Moor.

The Wild Women event is organised yearly by club founder and chair, Tamasine Corney as an opportunity to raise awareness of women cyclists as well as provide essential endurance training for members taking part in local and national sportives.

Many of these members are raising funds for very worthwhile charities: Prudential Ride London; Tina Green for The Stroke Association; Jeanette Johnson of Lifton Community Centre; Claire Knight for The British Heart Foundation; Rebecca Sargent for Mascular society; Ride The Night (London); Helen Hicks and Valerie Griffiths for Breast Cancer Care; and Claire Pitcher cycling from London to Paris for The Royal British Legion.
