RESIDENTS of Well Meadow in Egloskerry have finally seen the completion of the road on the estate — after a 13-year wait. The delay started back in the days of North Cornwall District Council and arose because no-one would accept responsibility for the road not being completed. Adam Paynter, Liberal Democrat Cornwall Councillor for Launceston North said: "This has been a very long standing and complex issue and I am delighted to have finally enabled the road to be completed by Cormac and paid for by Cornwall Council." One of the residents, Howard Hudson, said " The estate was a mess with raised manhole covers, water meters left raised and rough hardcore with an uneven surface, which caused several trips and falls."
