ONCE again the sun shone for Sir James Smith’s Community School’s Year 11 Prom on Friday, July 6, at Bowood Hotel and Golf Club, in Camelford.
There were several modes of transport ranging from flash cars, tractors, a fire engine, trucks and a horse and carriage.
Crowds assembled to see the students arrive in all their finery. On arrival a fruit cocktail was served followed by a three course meal and finally they danced the night away. During the evening some students were awarded with a Smithy Award, which ranged from being a model, a princess and even working for MI5!
Thanks were expressed to Bowood for an excellent evening as always and to Ms Alderman, drama teacher, for taking photographs.
