Following an Elvis night at the Eagle House Hotel, Launceston, a cheque for £774 was presented to Mr Graham Parkinson of Derriford Hospital's NNICU (Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit) on Thursday, May 28. The Elvis event was organised by Rachael Locke and Val Knight who are close friends of Graham and Janice Woods whose grandsons Kaiden and Kenzie were and still are in need of the unit. Both Janice and Graham wished to thank Rachael and Val for all their hard work in organising the event and to all those who went along to support the evening, including 'Charlie Bears' of Pennygillam who kindly donated two bears for the raffle. Mr Parkinson also wished to thank everyone, especially Rachael and Val, and said that the money would go towards purchasing medical equipment for the unit.
