FIRE crews from Delabole and Launceston attended a lorry fire on the road from Wainhouse Corner to Canworthy Water shortly after 2pm last Thursday (March 17).

Upon arrival the crews found the lorry well alight, and tackled the blaze using two sets of breathing apparatus, hosereels and a main jet.

Western Power was requested as the fire affected overhead cables and the police were requested to assist with traffic.
