A PARALYMPIAN will join a new political party and campaigners of all shapes and sizes in an election battle on May 7.
Their intent comes at a time when many high-profile councillors have confirmed their decision to step away from politics.
Last Friday saw plenty of new faces as the local election candidates were confirmed - not least in the Farnham Moor Park ward where Paralympic gold medal-winning hand cyclist Rachel Morris was confirmed as the Conservatives' town and borough council candidate.
