THE elderly lady who died in a fire at her bungalow home at Werrington has been officially named as Miss Joan Rendell, aged 89. She was a local historian, author of many books, and a Bard of the Cornish Gorsedd, as well as having been awarded the MBE for her services to the National Savings Movement.
