EGLOSKERRY School celebrated its learning over the autumn term by having a Space Day themed event.

On December 1 the children were blown away by fascinating science experiments, constellations and mind-blowing Space Odyssey planetarium presentations, propelling them to other planets and galaxies in the comfort of their school hall!

Teachers from Launceston College were also involved in the event, leading activities to create Lunar Space Landers!

Immersing the children in their learning is essential for facilitating fascination and wonder. It’s this motivation and excitement to learn that allows children to get the best out of their education.

The children and staff at Egloskerry School dressed up for the occasion. Pictured here is Miss Hawkey (organised the event) and Simon Ould (Space Odyssey) with Jack (space alien), Millie (a star) and Rafferty (Laika, the first dog in space).
