It was a scorcher on June 24 at the South West Regional Goblin Heats at Newquay Airport both with the sunshine and the Greenpower Goblin racing. Egloskerry's Goblin 'Rapid Lines' took part in its first competitive race; fully supported by Class 3's drivers, safety team and pit crew, a team of 22 children. The day was jam packed with racing, including a slalom, drag race, driver test and a chicane circuit. There are now 25 per cent of all of the Primary Schools in the South West competing in this event; there were lots of children there! The whole class shone at the event, with excellent team work and support. Egloskerry are one of only two schools in Cornwall going to the national Gathering of the Goblins at the Goodwood Motor Circuit on Sunday July 19 and will be proudly flying the Cornish flag!
