MEMBERS of Holsworthy Youth Club enjoyed a belated pancake day when Waitrose chef Dan James came to visit them on Friday, March 8.

Waitrose and Partners Holsworthy have been working with Holsworthy Youth Club following a successful  bid to secure some additional funding from Waitrose Community Matters fund.

Tim Stokes from the Youth Club approached Waitrose to see if it was possible to carry out some tastings/cookery demonstrations which the children could participate in and provide them with some life skills for the future.

This is the second visit for partner and qualified chef, Dan James who has been helping the children enjoy a belated pancake day treat.

Holsworthy Youth Club will be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year on Saturday, April 13, and it hopes to continue to expand its offerings to the young people in Holsworthy and the surrounding parishes.
