ST Petroc’s School in Bude welcomed back its pupils last week amidst huge excitement as the school opened its newly refurbished Reception classroom.

The new learning facility is bright and fresh with some spaces for pupils to explore the wonders on offer.

The new Reception pupils were excited to be the first to use the new room. The school said they have all settled in extremely well and have already stood up in front of the whole school in assembly to introduce themselves!

Headmaster, Dan Thornburn, said: “We are all absolutely thrilled with the revamped Reception classroom. Alongside all of the other exciting developments that have happened here over the last year or so, this really sets us apart — we are a school that is constantly moving forwards, building on our already excellent reputation.

“Our new pupils have been great and I was so pleased to see them standing up in front of a large audience in assembly. Building self-confidence is something that is the cornerstone of a St Petroc’s education. We start them young!”
