THE Summer Reading Challenge has returned to Launceston Library with a theme of ‘Mischief Makers’.
Saturday, July 14, saw the launch of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, where children aged four to 11 have been set the task of reading six books during the six-week school holiday.
The 2018 Mischief Makers theme is inspired by the historic Beano comics, which celebrate their 80th anniversary this year. The library has been visiting schools to tell children about the challenge, and so far there has been a lot of excitement.
There is a special certificate and medal when they finish. Families are invited to join in the fun and to check out what’s on at their local library throughout the summer, most will have events and workshops which will keep children busy during the holidays.
