THE children of Jacobstow Primary School have been treated to an ‘Out of this World’ lunchtime, themed around The Chartwells’ Space Mission.

The Census Day themed lunch menus are always popular at Jacobstow School as the kitchen team, Joanne Wilton and Donna Johns, always go the extra mile to make the mealtime memorable, by decorating their serving hatch and wearing a fancy dress outfits.

This year, children helped to make the dining experience even more enjoyable by preparing a range of space themed art to help decorate the hall. Kate Hancock, from Chartwells, helped to judge the winning entries, choosing Henry and Alice to win the first prize of entry tickets for a family of four to Camel Creek.

Mikaela Rofe, the school’s new headteacher, explained that Joanne and Donna go the extra mile daily to ensure the children and staff have an enjoyable lunchtime experience, with amazing freshly cooked meals each day.
