TWO scouts from 1st Holsworthy Scout group recently achieved their Chief Scouts Gold Award, the top award a Scout can earn.
Heidi Thompson and Eve Langman are the first two scouts to achieve the award for several years and since the introduction of a new scouting badge programme.
To achieve the award the scouts had to earn at least six activity badges of their choice, as well as nine challenge awards, which include achieving a personal challenge, teamwork and team leadership skills, learning about world issues and traditional outdoor and adventurous activities.
The girls have now moved on to the explorer scouting section.
