LEWANNICK Primary School held an air ambulance day on Friday, March 1.
The children came dressed up as doctors, nurses and patients. In the afternoon, the children were asked to run, jog, walk, skip a mile which the parents also came to support.
They also held a raffle with the chance to win a Charlie Bear, a lucky square competition to win a Tesco voucher and sold tea, coffee and cake.
The school managed to raise an amazing £1,015.97 for the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
A school spokesperson said: “They are so amazed by our fundraising that Lewannick School will be named on the new helicopter. Thank you to everyone for all your donations and hard work.
“Lewannick School would like to say a massive well done to Sarah in Year 6 who has raised an amazing £156 (£140 from the Penpont Player) towards the Cornwall Air Ambulance day and to all of those who contributed to this worthy cause, it was amazing the amount of support we have received.
“The PTA of the school gave a huge helping hand in selling the raffle tickets, lottery tickets and making and serving the tea, coffee and cake. Thank you to everyone for your support.”
