EDNA Harradine celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday with her eldest son Mervyn, her step-grandaughter Malita, friends and neighbours.
She enjoyed a slice of cake, a glass of sparkling wine and opened numerous cards and presents.
Edna moved to Jacobstow from her native Cambridgeshire 40 years ago with her husband George.
Their bungalow in Jacobstow was designed and built by their second son Christopher for their retirement.
Edna worked all her life first in the family butcher’s shop making pies and later as a florist. She had her own flower shop for many years and later trained other florists and did floral arrangements for large corporations.
A very artistic lady, Edna filled her house with beautiful cushions and embroidery and applique that she created.
She still lives independently and enjoys generally good health.
