A shop in Bude is warning the public of the ramifications of food waste and plastic packaging and hopes its approach to food-sales can change that.

Refill Shop has recently expressed some of the ways in which we waste food and pollute the planet with plastics. 

“Each year, the UK generates more than two-million metric tons of plastic packaging and £19-million worth of food waste,” said a spokesperson. In a bid to change that, Refill Shop encourages customers to only get what they need, “by shopping for the amount you need and bringing your own containers, Refill Shop helps to cut down these shocking figures,” said a spokesperson.
