THERE were ducks galore at the annual St Breward Youth Club Duck Race event held on the De Lank River at Delphy Bridge.
Cornwall Area of the Military Vehicles Trust members and their collection of Landrovers and Willys Jeeps had been invited to attend and they turned up from Davidstow during their day's Moorland Road Run and parked their vehicles alongside for everyone to inspect and enjoy.
With 500 ducks sold, there was plenty of cheering once the ducks were released into the river and headed downstream to Delphy Bridge, though it could be said that the ducks had a mind of their own as they floated, and possibly swam, to the finish line.
