DESPITE the threat of downpours, there was a good crowd of spectators who ventured out onto Bodmin Moor to Delphy Bridge to witness the duck race organised by St Breward Social Club. The Sunday event was one of four to celebrate the 25 years since the opening of the clubhouse alongside the village's football pitch. Other events included a pool and darts tournament on the Friday night, a disco on the Saturday evening with the bar manned by original bar staff, including Chris Greenaway and Dai Wills, and a quiz night on Wednesday. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
