THE Duchess of Cornwall paid a visit to the Cornwall Air Ambulance stand at the show last Thursday.

Staff and aircrew from Cornwall Air Ambulance were delighted to meet the Duchess, who is also patron of the charity, during the royal visit on the first day of the show.

She spoke to staff and aircrew about the new heli appeal (right), which is raising £2.5-million to provide a next generation air ambulance helicopter for the charity.

The charity also launched the appeal with a charity draw, with the top prize being a BMW 118i sport.
