YOUNG musicians in Bude will be able to play the drums thanks to a donation from a retired professional drummer.

Keith Jones, a retired professional drummer, donated £50, which was matched by Bude-based music charity Sound Waves South West.

The money was used to buy new drum pads from the Rhythm and Bude music store. The pads were given to music teacher Aidan Griffiths for his work with young people in the Bude area.

Aidan said: "The young musicians I work with have been requesting drum-related activities, and these pads are perfect."

Mr Jones surprised Mrs Gwynne with a further donation at the presentation.
