PACKAGES containing suspected drugs with an estimated street value of £2-million have been washed up on a beach at Bude and another beach further west. Police are asking anyone who finds similar packages or may have information about the finds to contact them. Two of a number of packages have been found at Bude and it is thought they may have been thrown overboard by drug runners in the Caribbean in an attempt to avoid detection and then been swept across the Atlantic Ocean by the currents. Each package is understood to have contained about 50 kgs of the suspected drug. SEE the current Cornish & Devon Post Series for the full story.
