FOLLOWING a call made by a concerned member of the public in Holsworthy over a possible incident of speeding. the police pulled over a driver to be breathalysed on Thursday, November 24.

The Holsworthy Neighbourhood Police Team stopped a driver in the Holsworthy area that evening and the driver failed to pass the roadside breath test and was arrested.

On the Holsworthy Police Team’s Facebook page they warned: “On Britain’s roads the annual number of reported drink drive casualties is in excess of 8,000, and in 2014 there were 240 fatalities due to drink driving.

“By drink driving, you risk not only your own life, but those of your passengers and those of other road users. Don’t do it!”
