NORTHLEW Amateur Dramatic Society (NADS) has been awarded a cheque for £331 from the Waitrose Community Matters Scheme, which will go towards some new lighting equipment.

Chairman Richard Rossiter-Stead said how thrilled they were to receive the cash at Okehampton’s Waitrose store and thanked Waitrose and all the customers that supported them.

Richard said: “This means Northlew Amateur Dramatic Society can now purchase some more lighting equipment which will make a big difference to our staging.

“Anyone interested in joining us to tread the boards or to help backstage would be more than welcome. To do so call our secretary, Sarah Wilby, on 01409 221995 and she would be more than happy to help.”
