SALLY Rowland and her beautiful cockerpoo Angel were just one pair who did well at Launceston Show’s fun dog show.
Sally and Angel won first prize during the ‘Prettiest Bitch’ class of the dog show, led by dog behaviourist Carol Valvona, which was raising funds for Margaret Green Animal Rescue Centre.
On winning first prize, Sally told the Post: “Angel has just won Prettiest Bitch. It’s been lovely, a perfect way to start her first show — she’s only nine months old.
“I’m really pleased for a first show and I bred her myself. Her mum, Bonnie, had second she beat her mum!”
Dog show organiser, Carol Valvona, said: “It’s gone very well. We’ve had a very good turnout and had lots of family dogs for a family event.
We had 136 entries, therefore raising £136 for the Margaret Green Animal Rescue Centre.
“The Best in Show was Alfie Rowland with Bonnie (a working cocker) while the Reserve Best in Show was Lizzy Maunder with Isla, who was a border terrier.”
