WITH Holsworthy Town Council raising its council tax by almost 50 per cent, the 'Post' paid a visit to the town to find out what people had to say.

The precept for this year and 2013 has been set at £88,087 by Holsworthy Town Council, an increase of nearly 50 per cent on last year's £44,553.

The council came to the conclusion after former councillors allocated funding which fell out of Section 106 areas.
