MEMBERS of Tom Herron's Canine Training Centre, Warbstow, arrived at Lakefield Equestrian Centre, Camelford, on Wednesday, July 22 to be presented with certificates for their achievement of bronze, silver and gold levels of the Kennel Club's Good Citizens Dog Scheme.
To present the awards was 'Doc Martin' actor Martin Clunes, who took a break during filming at Port Isaac to come over and meet club members with their dogs.
The bronze awards were given to Young Kennel Club Members — Harmony Brobin age ten with collie Max, Sarah Bowles age 14 with collie Bilbo and Erin Turner age 14 with black lab Millie.
Other bronze awards were achieved by Yvonne Bowles with Lyla, Debbie Jones with Hector, Denise Lee with Hudson, Sarah Nall with Eva and Rose Mabbley with Danny.
A silver award was given to Rose Mabbley with Danny and gold awards were given to Jill Lynch with Gizmo, Mel Jefferies with Anya, and John Elsworthy with Totty.
Along with Martin to present the awards were Tom Herron, dog trainer, Jan Rowe assistant trainer and Heidi Vague, who judged the bronze, silver and gold tests on behalf of the Kennel Club.
Training sessions are held on Saturday mornings in Bodmin at the Boxing Gym on Walker Lines Industrial Estate.
