DOC Martin star Ian McNeice (Bert Large), a great supporter of Port Isaac RNLI, presented a cheque to chairman Bob Bulgin and senior crew member Nicki Bradbury, when fellow station officials and crew members gathered together at the conclusion of the station’s historic annual summer service held on the Harbour Platt.
This year celebrates the 150th anniversary of the station since the foundation of the Lifeboat at Port Isaac.
Throughout the filming production of the Doc Martin series currently taking place in Portwenn, Ian has assisted at a number of the station’s fundraising events, including his own mission of support by meeting holidaymakers and posing for photographs, and generally promoting RNLI operations and crew support within his adopted home village.
