FAMOUS for its recent debut on the television programme, Doc Martin, St Nona's Church at Altarnun, was transformed with autumnal colours for its recent flower festival.
An arrangement at the churchyard gates invited visitors to climb the stone steps and walk up the church path to this year's flower festival representing 'Our Cornwall'. The community and semi-professionals united for a culmination of different ideas to represent this year's choice. The church path was decorated with coloured fish which were made by the children of the school and pre-school and were tied on netting with orange balls to represent buoys and there were also tubs of hydrangeas and gypsophila to represent the sea.
