ST THOMAS of Canterbury’s Church in Camelford was ideal for the displays on the theme of ‘Beginnings’, as it is the first church in Camelford, and the daughter church of the parish church at Lanteglos.

Designs based on Genesis 1 were along the north wall, and Genesis 2 was along the south wall.

The display in the Lady Chapel did not really need a title. It comprised of a tree, an apple and a serpent — clearly illustrating the first sin.

In the Sanctuary, the first Christmas and first Easter was depicted, with the backdrop of a beautiful tapestry of the Nativity, which has been given to St Thomas of Canterbury’s Church.

All proceeds made from the exhibition will go towards the church’s wish to install glass inner doors in the church.
