RUMOURS circulating around Bude that the Binhamy Farm development has been given the go-ahead have been confirmed — much to the dismay of a number of residents.

The Secretary of State last year rejected the plans following a four-day inquiry, but it was announced earlier this year that the application and appeal was to be re-determined.

Last week it was confirmed that the appeal had been passed.

The plans — which will provide a minimum of 351 and a maximum of 400 dwellings in addition to employment, a retirement village and more.

Response to the news has not been favourable with the majority of people contacted by the 'Post,' with one lady saying she was "gutted" by the news.
