LETTERS found in the attic of a Falmouth chemist in 1956 by an author from St Breward have provided inspiration for her new book.
Those who remember Bramley Chemist, under the clock at the bottom of Fore Street in Bodmin, may also remember the wonderful apothecaries jars and curved glass fronted cabinets inside as they were so typical of the chemists and pharmacies of the time.
But who would have guessed that these particular ones would be the indirect cause of the writing of The Falmouth Letters, by Christine Woolf, daughter of Mr Bramley the chemist.
