It was disappointment for Cornwall for the second successive year on Sunday when they lost out to Lancashire in the Bill Beaumont Cup. Twickenham was awash with black and gold as thousands of supporters travelled up to see the Cornwall side in action. Cornwall lost out to Lancashire last year and the squad were keen to overturn their fortunes. It seemed, for a while that they would, as Cornwall led 26-10 early in the second half. However, Lancashire showed why they had won the county final four times in the previous five years by storming back to snatch victory.
