A HOLSWORTHY-based organisation has been awarded 'Social Enterprise of the Year' for its development in East Sussex at a special awards evening.

Representatives from Devon Wheels2Work, which operates from Holsworthy Industrial Estate, were presented with the award at the Sussex Business Awards in Brighton on December 10, on behalf of East Sussex Wheels2Work.

Devon Wheels2Work is a social enterprise that provides scooter and motorcycle loans to individuals across the whole of Devon, allowing them to access work, education and training by providing subsidised scooter and motorcycle rental.

In April 2013, Devon Wheels2Work was awarded the contract to deliver a Wheels2Work scheme in East Sussex as a result of more than 12 years of experience and a positive track record for delivery and sustainable business development.
