SHOPPERS arriving at Waitrose's supermarket in Holsworthy last Saturday were greeted by volunteers from Christians Together who handed them a leaflet, asking them to buy a few extra items and to donate them to the food bank.

The Holsworthy Food Bank is a satellite of Bude's Food Bank and has been going for just over a year. Open every Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm in the Manor Suite it distributes enough food for three days to families and individuals in need.
