OVER 3,000 descended upon Boscastle at the weekend (October 5 and 6) for the annual food, art and craft festival.

The chef demonstrations were as popular as ever and a record number of food and craft exhibitors were set up for the festival.

New to the Boscastle festival this year was the Green Scene, on the banks of the Valency River, which had been designed to introduce a new element to the well established festival formula and be a more 'hands on' event for visitors.

The green scene included a host of environmental exhibitions and demonstrations, as well as interactive activities, such as archery and gig rowing with the Boscastle and Crackington Gig Club.
