Mrs Joan Tiney of Delabole, the wife of the President of the Camelford Branch of the Royal British Legion, will be helping to raise money for this year's Poppy Appeal (Cornwall). She will be bravely jumping out of an aeroplane to do a tandem parachute jump over Perranporth Airfield at the end of August/ beginning of September and she needs to raise a minimum of £400 before she is allowed to jump. This will be her first jump and is, naturally a bit apprehensive, and asks people to help allay her nervousness by sponsoring her. She has said that she is well on the way to her minimum figure but needs a lot more to help with the money spent by the Royal British Legion on helping the heroes of past and present conflicts. For more information and to give both moral and financial support please call her on 01840 213458.
