LONG-TIME supporter of Guide Dogs, John Theobald, has completed his dream of making a CD of some of his favourite songs, the proceeds of which are being donated to the charity.
John took early retirement in 1998 and became a self-employed wood turner in Delabole. In later years he gracefully gave up sport, in particular cricket, and decided to look for a new hobby — which was when he discovered the joy of singing.
John first joined Tintagel Orpheus Male Voice Choir and this was soon followed by an invitation to join St Teath Church Choir. In the male voice choir, John was encouraged to sing a few solos and as his confidence grew, he embarked on a course of singing lessons. This spurred him on to explore more avenues with his newly-found hobby.
