THE charity shop in Delabole, which for many years has raised money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance, is no longer fundraising for the charity. Last week, the shop closed and shortly after, re-opened with a notice in the window, which read: 'The shop will be trading as a charity, however the proceeds shall not be going to the air ambulance. All funding raised from donations will be put into a holding account run by the volunteers.' There is a suggestions box on the counter for people to put forward charities that they would like to see the shop support. A Cornwall Air Ambulance spokesperson confirmed that the charity did not own the shop, but it had been run by volunteers. They were unable to comment further.

NOTICE: Ken Stanton-Nadin and Karen Coulthard, look at the notice in the window. Karen commented: “This is one of the best charity shops in the area and staff have always been helpful.”
