THE Camelford and Delabole Community Development Trust (soon to become Camelot Country Community Interest Company), a community land trust, held an exhibition at the Delabole Carnival Marquee on Friday, July 17, to showcase their initial proposals for an affordable housing scheme at The Sidings, Delabole.
The proposal is to develop 14 new two and three bedroom affordable homes for sale to local people on brownfield land, currently owned by the Regional Development Agency. The homes will be affordable in perpetuity.
Mr Andy Shaw, the community land trust chairman, said: "We are keen to invite feedback and expressions of interest from members of the public, neighbours and local families who would qualify for the scheme.
"We hope to be able to submit a detailed planning application in the near future."
The trust is working in partnership with Cornwall Community Land Trust (a charitable industrial and provident society) and bbcb Limited of Crowlas, who are building contractors and developers.
