Jason Morgan of Davidstow Moor, Camelford will be running the London Marathon on April 26 in aid of the Alzheimers Research Trust. Jason's mother developed Alzheimers 16 years ago and now resides at Kernow House, Launceston. Jason said he wanted to raise money for the Trust to help others and to raise awareness of the disease. This will be Jason's third London Marathon having completed the 26.2 mile course in 2003 and 2004. Even though Jason has recently suffered from the heart problem arrhythmia, he said his training was going well and he was looking forward to the marathon: "I do consider myself fairly fit but with my heart problem I have found things a little more difficult. But I won't let it get the better of me!" He is confident he will be able to complete the course. He commented: "The crowds get you around." If anyone would like to sponsor Jason they can do so by contacting Kernow House on 01566 777841.
