DAIRY Crest has announced an increase in the price they pay for milk used at the Davidstow Creamery, near Camelford.

The company will increase the price by one pence per litre from November 1 to farmers on their Davidstow contracts.

MP for North Cornwall, Dan Rogerson has welcomed the news, hailing Dairy Crest's planned £45 million investment at the Davidstow site.

The company plans to build a whey powder manufacturing plant alongside the existing cheese business.
