BODMIN Moor’s recently granted status as an International Dark Sky Landscape was applauded at a recent meeting of Camelford Town Council.

The news means that Bodmin Moor is now considered a significant site for dark skies, and will open up more opportunities for local people and conservationists in the area.

Mayor, Cllr Rob Rotchell, said: “This is good news.”

Councillors were assured it would not affect the town’s Christmas lighting display, as they are a temporary structure.
