In?their final competition together, A Ross-on-Wye based dance team, Taste the Rainbow, retained their title as the European Champions during a four day annual competition in Blackpool, which began on April 24th.

The group has been performing together for eight years; they formed in 2009 under the name of Razzmatazz. Their name changed in 2012, as a tribute to one of the members of their dance family, Lauren Hughes, who lost her life in extremely tragic circumstances.

In May 2012, 15 year old Lauren died due to complications following a severe asthma attack. She was taken to the Children's Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at the University of Staffordshire Hospital, in Stoke-on-Trent. Lauren's family and the Taste the Rainbow dance team have been very active in fundraising for the CICU since 2012.

In the European Championships, as a whole team, Taste the Rainbow reigned triumphant. The group also entered several solo, duo and quad divisions, in which they were also very successful.
