AROUND 60 people went along to a 60s and 70s themed dance evening held in St Breward recently.

Over £300, £100 from the raffle, was raised for the new solar panels on the village hall roof.

Accomplished singer and guitarist Bob Seymour gave renditions of popular music from the 60s, 70s and even 80s and there was a prize of a free drink for the first couple to take to the dance floor, which was won by Marg Crowle and Paddy McShee.

A bottle of wine was awarded to the most entertaining dancers which was judged by Barbara Marshall. The winners were Bonny and Ken Bryan and the couple surprised everyone with their dancing skills.
