A RECENT charity event has raised £172 for the British Heart Foundation, following a cycling-themed Bake Off competition.

Taking place at the White Hart Hotel in Launceston, Kayleigh Stringer, Tammy Corney and Hayley Lankston encouraged local participants from in and around the Launceston area to get involved and bring along their delicious bicycle-themed cakes.

Hayley, from Dollybird Cakes, judged the entries, along with Kayleigh and Tammy.

The winner of the adult section was Kelly Sargent, with her red and white jersey cake, and the winner of the children’s section was Charlotte Harrison, with her bicycle cake.

Kayleigh and Tammy have been holding a series of fundraising events, to contribute to their final charity event, taking place in July this year, when they’ll be cycling from London to Paris for the British Heart Foundation.
