RESIDENTS of Tintagel have called for Post Office facilities to be resumed in the village after a local store, which housed the Post Office, closed last week.
The Be Fresh store re-opened last summer after a short closure, and it also became the location of the village Post Office, after the former Postmaster retired.
Last week, both the store and the Post Office closed, leaving residents unsure as to when, and if, a postal service would be resumed in the village.
Customer Margaret Beckett said: "We desperately need a proper Post Office back in Tintagel — not just for stamps, pension withdrawals or sending parcels. I have recently had to transact more selected services which we normally were able to carry out prior to the closure of our proper Post Office."
